In the end, the film has a tried-and-true message about the need to stop working overtime to make a few bucks, slow down and appreciate what you have.

This is one of the year’s best films, and one of the most distinctive.

It’s an ambitious delight, a movie that doesn’t divide the faithful from the heretic but reminds them of their common needs.

The craft on display alone is enough to bring a tear to your eye. 

“Eternity” may as well be a small slice of heaven on earth: a good time at the movies.
