Shazam 2’s Only Black Adam Reference Is A Major Diss To Dwayne Johnson’s Movie
Warning! This article contains spoilers for Shazam! Fury of the Gods.Shazam! Fury of the Gods contains a reference to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, albeit in an unfortunate disregard for the latter’s story or central character. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is the sequel to 2019’s Shazam! and once again follows Billy Batson and his siblings as the shape-shifting superhero family. With Billy and his siblings making up six of Earth’s champions, the seventh missing hero was hinted at in the first film, before being fully revealed as Dwayne Johnson’s Teth-Adam/Black Adam in the 2022 movie of the same name.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is finally in theatres yet the movie only contains one reference to its peer Black Adam, and not in any meaningful way.
