The Mandalorian Secretly Brought Back One Classic Legends Location
On its visit to the planet Tython, The Mandalorian secretly introduced a classic Star Wars Legends location back into official canon. When Disney acquired Lucasfilm back in 2012, the House of Mouse made the difficult decision to brand the old Expanded Universe “Legends” – that is to say, non-canon. Lucasfilm wasted little time drawing some of the best concepts and characters back into canon, of course; in fact, there’s abundant evidence the villain of The Mandalorian era is Grand Admiral Thrawn, an antagonist who made his debut in Legends.
The Mandalorian season 2 introduced viewers to the Jedi planet Tython – but the Force vergence it revealed is originally from the Expanded Universe.
