Yoda’s Very First Star Wars Scene Is A Clone Wars Callback

When Yoda first makes his iconic debut in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, he speaks about wars and warriors to Luke Skywalker, which secretly hinted at his Clone War past. Luke is convinced that Obi-Wan sent him to find a Jedi Master, and in his mind that is someone who must have been a legendary fighter in the Clone Wars. Yoda is a great Jedi, but he has a very different idea of what makes one great.

Luke comes to Yoda in the Empire Strikes Back expecting to find a powerful warrior, but the Clone Wars gave Yoda a different idea of what power means.
